Quad Cities Stays Hot with 5-1 Win
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits got a good effort from starter Bobby Anderson in defeating the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Modern Woodmen Park. The final score was 5-1. Quad Cities has a mark of 8-1 after the win.
An important at-bat for the River Bandits came in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Joe Halsey stroked a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-0 in favor of Quad Cities. For the day, Halsey was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Halsey told the Quad Cities Daily.
