Hitting Streak Still Alive for Islas Thursday, April 14th , 2044 Juan Islas, first baseman for the Visalia Rawhide, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 4 hits in his club's 16-1 victory today over the San Jose Giants at Recreation Park today. "Not the outcome we wanted," San Jose manager Kyle Haines said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Juan Islas hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th and singled in the 5th. Islas is batting .500 this season in 8 games with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 15 hits in 30 at-bats. |
