Snappers Blank Quad Cities, Abreu Winner Sunday, May 3rd , 2043 Jorge Abreu was in a mood to talk following the Beloit Snappers contest against the Quad Cities River Bandits, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the River Bandits, 4-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Abreu said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The right-hander blanked Quad Cities on a 5-hitter, allowing 4 walks and racking up 9 strikeouts. This year Abreu has posted a record of 4 wins and no losses with a 1.71 ERA.
