Dunbar Dominant in Athletics Victory
|
Pitcher Dave Dunbar was sensational for the Oakland Athletics in his team's 6-0 triumph over the New York (N) Mets. Dunbar picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The Athletics own a robust 73-39 mark.
Dunbar, who dominated for Oakland, earned the victory to move to 11-5. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7. New York (N) batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Oakland manager Luis Valbuena.
