Pirates Suffer 4-0 Setback
Milwaukee got a strong outing from Zack Vines as the Brewers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-0, at American Family Field. Milwaukee reliever John Hurley picked up the win, while Adam Bostick took the loss for Pittsburgh. Milwaukee has a record of 74-58, placing them first in the National League Central Division.
Pat Branco drove in one run for Milwaukee. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Nick Clark. It was his 97th RBI of the season.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Vines.
