Bob Fryback impressed in the 6-5 Cleveland win over Houston. Fryback, who is the 5th-best prospect in the Guardians organization, was 5-5 with a home run, 2 triples, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Cleveland reliever Aki Autio got the win, raising his record to 5-6. Alvin Cleveland was tagged with the loss. Cleveland, at 82-66, sits in second place in the American League Central Division.

The Guardians procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Roger Platt. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
