Walk-Off Seals 84th Victory for Rockies
|
The Colorado Rockies, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Coors Field.
The Rockies grabbed a win, 6-5, at Coors Field, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Jung-tae Au. Au went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Rockies, at 84-72, lead by one game in their division.
Colorado got a knockout punch from John Collar. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Colorado manager Terry Rockies was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
