Gloves Found, Shoemaker Rejoices Friday, September 15th , 2051 A while back we brought you the story of the poor Oklahoma City Dodgers's second baseman who was honestly devastated by the loss of his lucky college batting gloves. Today, the gloves suddenly turned up in the strangest of places. Said teammate, Josh Kyriacou, "I found them in my underwear drawer...seriously. As soon as I found them, I got them back to Matt. I didn't even ask for a finder's fee and besides, I couldn't wait to get rid of them - they really stank." No details on how the gloves got in Kyriacou's underwear drawer and perhaps that is for the best. For his part, Matt Shoemaker was ecstatic. Telling the Los Angeles (N) News, "I put them on right away - it felt so good to have them back. I can't wait to get back out there and face pitching again with these on." |
