5-Hit Blitz by Puffinburger Saturday, February 24th , 2046 Chris Puffinburger was at the head of a Stockton HS hit parade at Great American Ball Park. The center fielder went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Angels to a nice 13-3 victory over the Waco HS Reds. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Puffinburger told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Reds skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Chris Puffinburger singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Türker Mumcu in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th. For the year, Puffinburger is batting .319 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
