Thompson 5-for-5 for Catfish Sunday, February 25th , 2046 It was almost a perfect day for T.J. Thompson. The Omaha HS first baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Catfish lost to the Phoenix HS Timber Rattlers, 4-3. Thompson told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Omaha HS manager told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." T.J. Thompson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thompson is hitting .417 so far this season with 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 30 hits including 2 home runs, 6 walks and .462 OBP. |
