Chandler HS Stops Lass's Hit Streak Friday, March 16th , 2040 The 26-game hitting streak is over. Grand Rapids HS Salukis second baseman Curt Lass failed to get a hit today against the Chandler HS Bluebirds and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 15-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 2-1 victory over the Bluebirds at Ballpark of Grand Rapids HS. "I think I only made it to 26 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." To date Lass has chalked up a .372 average with 6 home runs, driven in 22 runs and scored 32 times. |
