Cairo Bats Go Silent in 4-0 Loss
|
Kaden Umair pitched a gem to lead Sao Paulo to victory over the Cairo Pharaohs, 4-0. Cairo now is 14-9.
The Pilots got a big hit from second baseman Taweel bin Fida. Facing Cairo pitcher Francisco Molina in the bottom of the fifth, bin Fida pounded a 2-run home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season put the Pilots ahead, 3-0.
"I liked his command," said Sao Paulo manager Dermott Dalling. "Kaden was throwing strikes."
