Brisas Hold Off Gold, 4-3
|
The Johannesburg Gold and Buenos Aires Brisas provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Buenos Aires Brisas beat the Johannesburg Gold, 4-3, at Golden Palace. Miguel Lemus, who is on pace to hit 46 home runs this season, starred for Buenos Aires. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Cahyo Muljana notched his 5th save of the season.
Buenos Aires took a 4-1 lead on Lemus's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Max Dawe in the top of the sixth, propelled Buenos Aires to the win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Johannesburg skipper Vic Mills.
Johannesburg falls to 15-15.
