Flyers Fall, 6-1, to Jahnke, Jimmies

Getting offensive support from Keith Jahnke, the Charm City Jimmies topped the Charlotte Flyers, 6-1. Jahnke went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Jimmies. Tony Hidalgo, 6-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The Jimmies, at 93-68, lead by one game in their division.
Jules Le Gal dealt the Flyers a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Charm City leading 2-0, Le Gal, who is tied for 10th in the JL in bases on balls with 63, hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single.
Le Gal said his team "played with focus."
