Ollier Belts Bunch of Base Hits
|
Émile Ollier did a number on the Fighting Pheasants in the 12-2 Lincoln victory -- and the number was 5. The Loggers left fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at SUNY Medical Center Presents The Railyard to lead his club past the Brooks Fighting Pheasants.
"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
Émile Ollier singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
This year, Ollier is hitting .366 with 17 home runs and 70 RBIs in 85 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .448 with 47 walks and 62 runs scored.
