Playoffs Won't Happen for Sting Friday, August 23rd , 2058 The Caracas Sting players and coaches held a closed-door meeting today after the club was eliminated from postseason contention. "We just wanted to talk about the season and where we are right now and how we get to our ultimate goal," said a dejected John Thomas. "We don't want to have this feeling next season." The Sting have made the playoffs 14 times in their 43 years as a Angela Drake League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2051. In the last 10 seasons, the Sting have missed the playoffs 8 times. Caracas last won the Supremacy Series in 2028. |
