Salmon Kings Win League Championship Series Thursday, May 8th , 2059 The fans in Madras College are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in São Paulo College. The Madras College Salmon Kings finished off the São Paulo College Green Jackets 5-4 in the deciding game of the League Championship Series played at Madras College Grounds. They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the World Series. For his standout play, Madras College third baseman Khawaja Phadkar was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .370, drove in 12 runs and scored 10 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Phadkar and that doomed us," said Green Jackets manager Ignacio López. "Hats off to Madras College, though. That was a great series." The Madras College Salmon Kings will play against the Xian College Pipers in the next round. Xian College won their series against the Nagoya College Tasmanian Devils 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
