CBA Announces Return of President’s Cup
Today the CBA is pleased to announce the return of a revamped President’s Cup. The cup competition will now be a single-elimination tournament featuring all 30 teams in the CBA. The tournament schedule is still being finalized but discussions are being held to hold the games over 1 week before the regular season begins.
Teams will be seeded 1-30 based on ELO from the previous season. The #1 and #2 teams in ELO will be given a bye in round 1 in what will become a 32-team bracket. The better seeded team will be the home team in each match up throughout the tournament. Here are the matchups for round 1 of the 2061 President’s Cup, with seeding.
