Carolina Reapers starter Jesse Thomas turned in an exceptional performance against the Toronto Mythics at The Six, resulting in a Carolina win, 3-1. Thomas picked up the win for Carolina, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. With the win, Carolina raised its record to 16-16.
The Reapers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Brian Winkler. For the game, Winkler was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Carolina a 2-0 lead.
