New York Gets 2-1 Win
|
The Bird's Nest was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The New York Empire got a stellar performance from pitcher Bob Livingston, who handcuffed the Salt Lake City offense en route to a win, 2-1, at The Bird's Nest. The Empire sport a record of 14-29.
New York used the clutch hitting of Hen-to Yang to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Empire the lead, 2-1. For the game, Yang had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Yang.
