Cleveland and San Diego duked it out and the Paladins came out victorious.

The Cleveland Paladins downed the San Diego Fleet, 8-5, at Stone Brewing Park. Alex Molinares led the way, going 3-for-4 for Cleveland. Steve Savoie got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 5 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings.

With Cleveland trailing 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Molinares hit a slider from Miguel Perez for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Paladins ahead, 4-3.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Molinares told the Cleveland News.

The loss makes San Diego 23-25.
