Gremlins Deal Freeze 4-2 Loss
The inspired effort of Minnesota right fielder Sallvador Tibau was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-2, to the Galveston Gremlins. Tibau was 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. Galveston reliever Harold Owen picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Andrew Walker took the loss. Galveston raised its record to 34-27 with the win.

Ron Thompson, the slugging right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Thompson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put Galveston up, 3-2.

After the game, Galveston manager Jim McSwag applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
