Chupacabras Beat Houston, 4-3

The Houston Moondogs got a sterling performance from pitcher Casey Malkowski, but the Mexico City Chupacabras still prevailed, 4-3. Malkowski threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Vinny Reed snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 3-1 on the season. The triumph puts Mexico City at 50-42 for the season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Mexico City catcher Garry Lindstrom, facing Marcos Barrios, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Chupacabras the 4-3 win.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Lindstrom said.
