Bootleggers Trip Titans, 5-2, in Extra Innings
|
Spirited fans greeted the Vancouver Titans for their clash with the Kentucky Bootleggers.
The Kentucky Bootleggers faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Matt Ashbaugh, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Colosseum by a final score of 5-2. Ashbaugh went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Phil Rainville came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 7-1.
Riley Hiseler, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hiseler contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Kentucky up, 3-2.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Bootleggers manager Mike Becksaysno.
Kentucky occupies second place in the Bronze League at 85-36.
