Big Day for Bedard in 12-8 Empire Win
A 5-RBI performance from center fielder David Bedard, who is tied for 7th in the PL in stolen bases with 19, led the New York Empire to a win over the Kentucky Bootleggers, 12-8. New York reliever Bobby Parkey picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Matt Johnson took the loss. New York has now won 3 straight, while the Bootleggers have lost 3 in a row.

New York took a 11-7 lead on Bedard's 12th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Matt Johnson in the bottom of the seventh, propelled New York to the win.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Bedard.
