Multi-HR Game for Pressler in 8-5 Win
|
The Indianapolis Hawks topped the Great Lakes Monsters by the score of 8-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Matt Pressler. Pressler hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Hawks on the day. Indianapolis reliever Aaron Timmerman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jordan Duke absorbed the loss. Scott Slusser, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
Pressler contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Indianapolis in the bottom of the seventh. With his team trailing 4-3, Pressler took a fastball from Jordan Duke and stroked the home run to right. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Hawks to leap in front, 7-4.
"The vibe's good," said Indianapolis manager Robbie Chamberlain. "We've got to keep it going."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Indianapolis.
