Miyazawa Shuts Out Lynx
Glasgow Road Warriors hurler Motokuni Miyazawa was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Laredo Lynx, shutting them out 2-0 on 7 hits.

"Motokuni was very aggressive tonight," Glasgow manager Pedro Cervantes said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."

Through 9 innings, Miyazawa tallied 11 strikeouts and allowed no walks.

"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Dave Wait said. "Miyazawa has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."

This season Miyazawa has compiled a 7-3 mark with a 2.77 ERA in 12 starts.
