Liberty Roach Dominates Reapers
|
Earl Roach shut out the Carolina Reapers 1-0 on a 5-hit masterpiece for the Philadelphia Liberty at Camelot Field today.
"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Philadelphia skipper Michael Queen said afterward.
Roach registered 8 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Carolina manager Ryan Duncan after the defeat.
