Chupacabras Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Portland
|
Mexico City designated hitter Josh Fogel was instrumental in his team's 6-4 win over the Portland Axemen. Fogel, who finished 2nd in the BL in hits with 158 in 2033, went 3-4 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Chupacabras. Estevan Ravelo closed the door for Mexico City, picking up his 1st save of the year. With the win, Mexico City pushes its record to 3-3.
Fogel contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Mexico City in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Fogel took a slider from Kevin Force and stroked the double to left-center. His 2nd double of the season allowed the Chupacabras to leap in front, 4-3.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Fogel said.
