Miami (GCL) Sweeps into the Round 3
Jorge Canó said he expected the Round 2 to be "a battle from start to finish."

In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Miami (GCL) Marlins encountered little resistance in sweeping the New York A (GCL) Yankees, to advance to the Round 3.

"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Canó.

Miami (GCL) won the final game by a 4-3 count and were led in the series by Canó, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .333 with 4 home runs. He also drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Miami (GCL) Marlins don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Francisco (GCL) Giants - Detroit (GCL) Tigers series. San Francisco (GCL) leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
