Lancaster RF Serna Suspended Tuesday, May 28th , 2052 It was both entertaining and embarrassing to see. Lancaster right fielder António Serna really got rowdy at Recreation Park yesterday in a game against the Visalia Rawhide. It all started with a called third strike and ended up with Serna being ejected from the game. In between he screamed at several umpires, kicked dirt on them and made several obscene gestures. All of this is frowned upon by the league office. Today they suspended Serna for 4 games. He could not be reached today for comment. Serna is batting at a .348 pace this season, picking up 8 hits in 23 at-bats with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. |
