On a Roll: Estrada Hits for Cycle Sunday, September 5th , 2049 In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Rome catcher Xavier Estrada hit for the cycle today as the Braves marched to victory over the Asheville Tourists, 7-6. Estrada collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 3 RBI and 2 runs scored to help Rome take the McCormick Field contest. "It was the last thing on my mind, really," Estrada said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway." Xavier Estrada hit an RBI double in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Charlie King in the 7th, struck out in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th.
