Hits Galore: Muñóz Drills 6 Hits
Friday, March 28th , 2053
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 6 hits in a day.
Juan Muñóz is one of those rare few, as he went 6-for-7 against the Nashville HS Lightning at Lightning Ballpark. The monster effort from the 15-year-old third baseman helped the Columbus HS Trains get the win, 17-4.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Lightning manager Glen Porter. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Juan Muñóz singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Robbie Vincent in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
Thus far in 2053, Muñóz is hitting .435 with 10 home runs, 33 RBIs, 38 runs scored and has compiled a .531 OBP.
