Greene Swats 3 HR Against Worcester College Saturday, March 23rd , 2052 Ben Greene went on an explosive hitting spree against the Worcester College Bees at Worcester College Grounds, launching a trio of blasts to help the Pittsburgh College Revolution win, 5-2. The catcher finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 5 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Greene said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Worcester College skipper Alvin Ryan said Greene was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Ben Greene hit a solo-shot off Kevin Moyer in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Moyer in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Dave Yates in the 8th. This year, Greene is hitting .351 with 34 hits, 10 home runs, 33 RBIs and has scored 20 runs. |
