Patterson Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Apple Sox
Friday, May 10th , 2052
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jon Patterson did at Waveriders Stadium, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 18-13.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Patterson said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Milwaukee College Waveriders left fielder blistered the Medford College Apple Sox for 4 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 5 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Medford College manager Tim Daniel said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Jon Patterson singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mike Woods in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Rory Bailey in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Andrews in the 8th.
Currently Patterson is hitting .351 and has collected 16 home runs, 48 RBIs and scored 46 times, while playing in 48 games.
