Walters Stars for Murrays in 12-6 Win
Behind a fine performance from Stanley Walters, the Chicago Murrays knocked off the Virginia Rampage, 12-6. Walters was 2-5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Murrays. Chicago reliever Justin West picked up the win, raising his record to 3-0. Brett Higgins was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Virginia 17-12.

The Rampage had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Murrays going into the top of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the three-time All-Star P.J. Gillespie came to the plate. Gillespie hit a bases-clearing double on a full count sinker from Virginia hurler Rafael Flores. It was Gillespie's 8th double of the year.

Walters told the Chicago Chronicle: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
