In a low-scoring game between Norway and Caracas, pitcher Raúl Ortíz was excellent. The Norway right-hander helped his team knock off the Lions, 3-0. Ortíz, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. Sean Bolding recorded the save for Norway, his 11th of the season.
A decisive at-bat came in the bottom of the third inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Roy Wilson, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Norway, and helped them go on to win.
