Matsuda Crafts 6-0 Shutout Wednesday, August 5th , 2054 The Queensland Quigleys met their match today in Saint Petersburg hurler Michihiro Matsuda. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Queensland skipper said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 6-0 victory, Matsuda whiffed 4 and gave up 2 walks. This season, Matsuda has fashioned a 4-13 mark and 5.45 ERA in 155.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .317 against him and he has logged 78 strikeouts. |
