Weirdly for a pre deadline deal this is kind of a 'rebuilding' trade for both teams.

We're trying for plan for some of our big name/ big contract bats moving on this off season and finding cost controlled young replacements who are ready for the Majors isn't easy. I hope Khalil Lee can replace David Dahl. Dahl has been a cornerstone of our offense for nearly three season but I doubt I can afford him, Chapman and Olson.

Khalil Lee has the LHB high OBP profile I really like, and despite having a shitty year he still has a season to develop. He'll probably sit in AAA until I can bring him up on Sept 1.

Ethan Long is one of my top SP prospects, but OSA rates him higher than my scout so I'm okay letting him go in exchange for a ML ready bat. Thanks to Carl for the quick and easy dealings.
