Kansas City Takes Division Series
|
The World Series hopes remain strong for the Kansas City Royals.
The team tonight eliminated the Texas Rangers with a 11-0 win, to capture the Division Series 3-1.
"We're rolling now," said Josh Thomason, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the League Championship Series."
The standout offensive performance from Thomason included a .526 batting average, .526 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 2 RBI and 6 runs scored.
The Kansas City Royals don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Baltimore Orioles - Seattle Mariners series. Baltimore leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
