The timely hitting of Rubén Sousa helped the Virginia Beach Stars down the Potomac Double O's, 7-4. Sousa went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Stars. Pedro Estrada finished to wrap up his 46th save. The Stars, at 87-55, sit in second place in the Moonlight Graham League John Kinsella Division.

Virginia Beach used a well-timed hit by Ángel Luna to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Sousa told reporters after the game.
