The Virginia Beach Stars withstood an impressive performance by Austin left fielder Roberto Salazar to defeat the Aces, 9-7, at Oceanview Park. Salazar was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Virginia Beach reliever Cameron Ballard, now 9-2. The loser was Whitney Lepine. With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 96-58.

Al Henderson aided the Virginia Beach cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a double.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Henderson told the Virginia Beach Gazette.
