Quakes Turn Back Steamers, 4-2
|
San Jose Quakes starter Carlos Morales turned in a top-notch performance against the Cleveland Steamers at Cisco Field. The result was a win for the Quakes, 4-2. Morales, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. At 2-0, the Quakes have played well so far.
The Quakes got a big hit from first baseman Elliott Dunn. In the bottom of the sixth, Dunn pounded a solo home run to center. His 1st home run of the season put the Quakes ahead, 3-1.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Dunn. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
