Bayhawks Blanked by Howell
|
The bats were ice cold today for the Chesapeake Bayhawks at Ballpark of Mobile. Chicago Packers starter Kent Howell kept the Bayhawks cold all day, shutting them out in a 3-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 30-year-old hurler allowed 5 hits while striking out 6 and walking 2.
"I'm not quite sure what was different today," Howell admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
