Double O's Top Austin, 3-2

Crowds lined up early in front of Ian Fleming Field, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2055 Field of Dreams season. On the mound was José Gómez for the visiting Austin Aces and Shawn Mosley for the hometown Potomac Double O's. In a spirited contest, the Double O's pulled out the win, defeating the Aces by the score of 3-2. Especially impressive was José Gómez. Garm Aerts picked up the win in relief for Potomac, while Joey Kaiser took the loss.
Raúl Castro hit a 2-run triple off Joey Kaiser in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Double O's in front, 3-2. Castro had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"Every loss hurts," said Austin manager Fletcher Conner. "But this was a tough one."
