Storm Reel Off Another Win
|
The San Diego Storm weathered a fine game by Noblesville right fielder Brent Brown to upend the Millers, 6-5, at The Mill. Brown went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Earning his 2nd save for San Diego was Dan Taylor. The win lifts San Diego to a record of 6-0.
San Diego relied on the hitting of Rick Henderson to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Storm on top, 3-0. For the game, Henderson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Henderson, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
