Johnson Deals Informants 1-0 Shutout
The Spring Valley Suburbans did little to support starter Jeremy Johnson against the Irvine Informants, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Informants, striking out 9 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Johnson allowed Spring Valley to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said, 'Jeremy, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Johnson told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

So far this season, Johnson has a 9-5 record, 14 starts, 112 innings, 103 strikeouts and a 1.85 ERA.
