Morris Blasts Stars, Agents Take Game 1, 8-4
The Los Angeles Agents started the Field of Dreams Classic in style today, winning on the road against the Virginia Beach Stars at Oceanview Park by a score of 8-4 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-9 series. Agents center fielder David Morris excelled. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

The result might have been different for Los Angeles, had it not been for Roberto Morán, the 34-year old catcher . Morán stroked a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Los Angeles up, 6-4. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Morán told the Los Angeles Daily.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Oceanview Park in Virginia Beach.
