Stars Heading to Field of Dreams Classic
Depending on your loyalties, the League Championship Series was either thrilling or heartbreaking.

The series went down to its final game, with the Virginia Beach Stars and the Miami Mutiny giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Stars came out on top, winning 9-5 at Oceanview Park today to take the series 4-3.

"We're lucky to be going into the Field of Dreams Classic," said Virginia Beach pitcher Fernando Menoscal. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."

Menoscal earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .333 average, with 3 home runs, 7 RBI and 7 runs scored.

The Virginia Beach Stars will play against the Los Angeles Agents in the next round. Los Angeles won their series against the Cleveland Steamers 4 games to 0. The Field of Dreams Classic schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
