Ángel Holds Thunder Scoreless
Wednesday, September 2nd , 2054
All went well for Ramiro Ángel of the Rochester North Stars as he pitched his team to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Issaquah Thunder, limiting them to 5 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Ángel on the day.
"Ramiro's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said North Stars manager . "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Rochester right-hander rang up 8 and surrendered no walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Thunder manager . "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
In 27 starts this year Ángel has crafted a 13-9 record and a 2.37 ERA.
